Oh sweet baby Holden. He is such a big boy at 3 1/2 weeks and all.that.hair! Such a cutie, he reminds me of my “little one” at that age. Mom and dad said he is normally sleeping during the day….but not today. He was awake the whole time and checking everything out.
I had been wanting to shoot here for a while, especially after taking Jace to see Thomas the Train. I was so excited when it was just what they were looking for!! I had the best time with this family. It was cold when we started and the kids weren’t feeling it too much…but then they turned into models out of nowhere saying “if you ever need to practice…call us up”. I had too many favorites and I tried to cut it down a bit for the post….
Some favs from Alannah’s family session including her cousins. We were all laughing at how easy we thought it would be and it was almost impossible to get these three to sit together and look in one direction…..these girls kept me on my toes!! Gotta love it, I always look forard to her sessions, she is such a cutie!!
Alannah is 18 months old! She is growing so fast. This was my favorite session with her so far because she actually likes me!
During the session Mandy would ask her “where’s Angel” and she would point at me. She even wanted to hold my hand on the way to the car and I got hugs and a kiss. She is such a sweet little one, I cherish every session with her.

Friday - J and I loaded up the kids and headed to Balboa Island for the day. We took the auto ferry to get there. Jace thought it was the coolest thing and was saying “boat,car,boat,car” the whole next day. We rented a huge bike, cruised around, rode some rides, played at the playground, took pics under the pier, ate cotton candy and even got to see dolphins out the car window on the way back. I had a blast, but the best part was asking Jace later about his day and hearing him say “dolphin,boat,car,water,bike”. He had the best time, makes it totally worth all the chaos!!
We got so many stares in this thing, it was perfect for us….just big enough!

Sarah contacted me about a session while all her family was going to be together “9 adults and 5 children”. So I headed to La Cresta, but this time instead of hiking through brush I got to visit this family at their beautiful home. I really love this area and I love it when families are able to have a session in the comfort of their own home.
I thought this one was cute…the little guy on the left is the same age as my Jace and he was not down for having his picture taken, he’s about to make his get-a-way!
