Precious Memories | What a difference a camera makes

Trying to catch up on importing photos, organizing and getting used to the set up on my new iMac.  I came across some photos of Jace playing tent from June.  I really wanted to capture some photos of him being in the natural lighting that was in the room.  I bumped my Canon 5D Mark II to 6400 iso (I can’t even imagine what I would get on my 40D which only goes to 1600) and shot away.  Here is my favorite image from that night.  The first photo is the original with no adjustments but slight color correction.  The second I turned black and white.  There is some noise, but it doesn’t bother me at all…just happy to be able to capture him at day or night with no flash!

crystal vogel - That’s my next purchase…how do you like the Mark II?? Right now I still use my Canon Rebel (Don’t laugh), but hey it works. Can’t wait to upgrade!!

Angel - I LOVE it! Let me say you do a great job with that Rebel. I get frustrated and have to upgrade. I love the ISO capabilities for low light situations and I would love to take the time to learn how to use the video some day ;)

Holden • mini session | Inland Empire Child Photographer

Little Holden is 6 months old!  We met up for his mini session last week and he was killing me with those big brown eyes, his long hair and the way he kept scooping all the blankets up to his mouth!  Such a cutie, I can’t wait for this little one to sit up and get mobile!

preschool | Jace’s 1st Day

Today was Jace’s first day of preschool and I couldn’t be prouder of my big boy.  This day came way too quick, but I couldn’t stall anymore cause he was so excited.  We had lunch with his class yesterday to meet his new friends.  He had his first pb&j with mom and said he loved it.  He even wanted to order one for dinner, but he got one packed for lunch today.  If you know this little monkey you’ll know that he wasn’t up for trying new foods, but now he eats pretty much everything!

He loves his Toy Story lunchbox and his backpack (until I filled it and made it “too heavy” with is blankets, pillow, etc);)  So after staying with him for about a half hour I said my good byes and headed out.  He did so amazing, he didn’t cry or anything.  I think I explained everything pretty well and he understood what was going on and that he was going to have lots of fun!  I absolutely love his school and my little monkey!

So proud of you baby!!!

xoxo, mom

one…two | Inland Empire Child Photographer

So sweet little Alannah, my first real baby session, is now 2.  She was perfectly content, wandering around and checking out the birds, flowers, etc…but she would not smile for me:(  Silly girl, I love seeing the stages that little ones go through…such a process and so many changes.

discovering | Murrieta Child Photographer

Holden is 3 months now.  During his session he kept putting his hands in front of his face.  Mom and dad kept saying…he never sits like that.  Then half way through the session they said I wonder if he is just discovering his hands.  It’s amazing how it’s like that with babies….one day they just get it.
