May we give our children roots to grow | Murrieta Family Photographer

“May we give our children roots to grow and wings to fly”…..this is what Christine wants along with a photo of her family in their home.  That’s what the mission of this session was.  Of course we did individuals of each kids, mom with girls, dad with boys, just mom and dad and every other combo we could imagine.  I have to say and I hope she is reading…their family looks complete!!  It really does, she has her boys and I really don’t think they could find a car to fit more babies.  Plus they look really happy.

Here are my favorites….

They call themselves “The Great Big Mejia Family” :) 9710-19710-3This was also my first time meeting Ben, so we wanted to be sure to get lots of photos of him by himself…9710-49710-59710-69710-7

Mexia family | Inland Empire Photographer • Claremont

Cutie little girls with their mom and dad.  Sometimes clients ask what they should wear for a session and I think this family did it perfect.  Coordinating colors, but not matchy-matchy.  As we were walking up a little path to get where we were going she asked “what’s that smell mom”….nature mom said ;)    It was fun watching her keep her eye out to see what animals/critters we were going to come across.  Thanks so much for having me to photograph your family and a special thanks to Angela for sending them my way!

Holden • mini session | Inland Empire Child Photographer

Little Holden is 6 months old!  We met up for his mini session last week and he was killing me with those big brown eyes, his long hair and the way he kept scooping all the blankets up to his mouth!  Such a cutie, I can’t wait for this little one to sit up and get mobile!

preschool | Jace’s 1st Day

Today was Jace’s first day of preschool and I couldn’t be prouder of my big boy.  This day came way too quick, but I couldn’t stall anymore cause he was so excited.  We had lunch with his class yesterday to meet his new friends.  He had his first pb&j with mom and said he loved it.  He even wanted to order one for dinner, but he got one packed for lunch today.  If you know this little monkey you’ll know that he wasn’t up for trying new foods, but now he eats pretty much everything!

He loves his Toy Story lunchbox and his backpack (until I filled it and made it “too heavy” with is blankets, pillow, etc) ;)   So after staying with him for about a half hour I said my good byes and headed out.  He did so amazing, he didn’t cry or anything.  I think I explained everything pretty well and he understood what was going on and that he was going to have lots of fun!  I absolutely love his school and my little monkey!

So proud of you baby!!!

xoxo, mom

three years old | my Jace

My little man is 3 now!  I hope that will all the photos/video I will be able to remember him just the way his is…

his likes: Robot movie, scooters, fire trucks, choo-choo trains, his tricycle, the park, Jack Skeleton, his black DC’s that he can put on himself, spiky hair and everything boy.

my loves: when I ask him who his sweetheart is, he replies “you are my sweetheart”, when he asks things like “what are owies anyways momma”, the way he says mawma like a little southern boy, how he’ll name off things from the backseat for me to spell and after I do he says “yaaay”, how he is ready to go to school, how polite he is (almost always, except when his is being a monster), how he helps me do any and everything he can around the house, yard and grocery store, how he tells me what to kiss next after I kiss his cheeks “my nose, my hair, my eyes, my ears”, how he now tells me “great job momma, nice one”, just to hear the way he says things.

I’ve taken a couple of families here the past year and Jace loves choo-choos…so I knew for sure I would be taking him here for his session.  I picked up a suitcase at a yard sale not too long ago for a steal and I knew he would love to lug it around.  Got some great photos of my monster, but also had a fun day together.  Love you my sweetie.. xoxoxo, Mawma ;)

threeso in love with his outfit.  Especially the jeans that I found at H&M and his new Vans…three-1I told him he looked so little, he said “no I want to look big!”three-2three-9three-4three-5He’s such a good little model….so sit over there, walk over here…he’s just happy to explore.three-6He sleeps with his “lil blankie” and I had to get a photo of him with it.  I know he won’t want it forever, but he’s had it for 2+ years now.three-7momma+Jace (not too bad for holding it myself ;) )three-8
