Bobby+Angel {5 year anniversary}

5 years ago today Bobby and I were married at the Oceanview Club in San Diego. Here we are now with a little munchkin and ready to have one more! It was fun looking back at these pictures and seeing how much we’ve changed! I love anniversaries…time to reflect on what you take for granted in the busy day to day…I really am such a lucky girl.

Bobby…thank you for being such a loving, caring and supportive husband. I always knew we would have a family that consists of more than us and our doggies, but now we are just about complete.

Here are a few photos from taken by Nicole Caldwell. Let me mention they were all shot on film! I had the negatives scanned and put on discs as a backup, so the quality is good, but not great. I feel so luckily to be photographing weddings now. I remember meeting Nicole and looking at her images and just thinking WOW! We just clicked so well, we joked that she was my twin cause we looked so much alike.

Some of the best images were a really grainy B&W that they couldn’t scan for me….I’ll have to take some pictures of the ones I have framed in our house.

Jace’s Swim Class

I brought my camera along to this weeks swim class because we decided it was going to be his last one. I am getting him into a class during the day for more learning and interaction with kids. He had so much fun at this swim class we are still deciding what to do. He constantly wanted to be under the water. Even when Bobby was holding him he was ducking his face into it. Here’s the huge post of my little “swimmer”.

These pictures were shot with an 85 1.2L lens.

Princess Landen’s 3rd Birthday

Landen had been waiting for weeks for her Cinderella Birthday party. There were so many cute little ones running around, even some of the boys got in on the party too (as pirates of course). Such a great party with favors from Cinderella and Janice (Landen’s mommy), games and fun with Cinderella, a jumpy, popcorn and a pinata.

Janice…It was so nice to finally meet you in person. It was fun watching Landen have so much fun at her party!

She did such a great job sitting still and relaxing a bit while Cinderella did her hair and makeup and put her in a pretty dress just for her.

Rafael+Andrea : Wedding

They said “I do” Saturday at 7pm “on top of the world”. You could see the excitement from these two from the getting ready stage all the way through the end of the night. So happy to be getting married. This day was all about family & love…there is always stress & chaos when it comes to weddings, but their love for each other and the family all working so hard to make this day happen made it the perfect day for them.

This is the first wedding I have done with Bobby being there (since it was family), it was good practice, since we’ll have 2 more by the end of the year!

We took these pictures on 8/10, but it seems like forever ago! I’ve been getting everyone’s photos done and I have a wedding and a b-day party this weekend, so before I get swamped again, I had to process our session! We haven’t had family pics done since Jace was 8 weeks old, just me behind the camera getting him and daddy. So get ready for a huge post!

Yvonne took our family pictures for us. I had a couple of ideas of what I wanted, then I let her run with it. It is great for us to be able to trade sessions….although it is so weird for me to be on the other side of the camera. Thank you so much Yvonne, I’ll keep you guys posted when she puts her version of our session on her site…

Chillin while we cruise around from location to location

Curious little monkey. I wanted to do our session right after he started walking, I guess I waited too long cause he was all over the place!

When Bobby was dipping me (last pic on the right) we looked up and Jace had stopped running around and was twirling around in circles. He had never done that before, we thought it was the funniest thing ever!

Luckily Yvonne made me take some by myself or I never would have.

He was so done, so hot and sleepy, but we snapped a few more on the way to the car and I think they are funny.

Joe’s 55th Summer Bash

Joe just celebrated his 55th Birthday! I had no idea when I arrived at their home that the party was going to be fully catered, with a bartender and a band. It was a great party! I’m sure they partied into the night…

Ralph+Andrea : Engagement

These two are getting married this coming Saturday! The location they wanted was available, so they went for it. No year long planning for these two, they are ready to start their life together! Ralph is Bobby’s cousin and I can’t believe how quick he has gone from a teenager to an adult who is tying the knot! I couldn’t be happier for these two, they have know each other since they were kids and I know they will have a wonderful life together.

One Light!

I am so excited! I got my One Light Workshop DVD’s in the mail yesterday. It teaches you all about off camera lighting. I bought it on presale and have been anxiously awaiting it. I would love to attend one of the workshops, but they are always booked up so I was happy they just released a DVD version.

I got a few other goodies in my package including a shirt and some stickers. I love the quote that is on the shirt and one of the stickers, it pretty much sums up exactly how I feel about photography. I tell people all the time, but this is said much more eloquently.

Here’s a sneak peak of our family pictures we just did…I’ll work on them and post them soon hopefully!

Lorena needed some more headshots of Annabelle. Their agent like the pictures from before, but wanted her in the look she showed up at the meeting in. So we decided to do some headshots for her, get some of Jessica since she wasn’t there last time and get some family shots!

It happened to be Annabelle’s 6th Birthday….hope you had a wonderful birthday sweetie! See you guys next time!

Jace: Lunch Time

I took my camera into “the shop” to get a little tune up before me session this weekend. But before I did I grabbed some photos of Jace. He has been really picky at meal time lately and only wants food he can feed him self. I finally said forget it and put the spoon and food on his plate….well I guess he just wants to feed himself! He made a mess, but that’s fine with me if he is feeding himself! I know, it’s the little things when you are a mom. I am so proud of ever little thing he does, :)
