Michelle and I packed up Harley and Jace and headed to Disneyland yesterday.  Jace was full steam ahead from the moment we walked in the park.  He had the best time and his favorite ride was Dumbo (we cut them off after 2 times!).  He is super crazy sometimes, but as long as it’s happy crazy I can deal with it!

We were more busy playing than taking photos, so here are a couple….

These two are so cute together…Every time we go he gets new ears…this time they were pumpkins ones! CA Adventure…

This week my friend Michelle and I loaded up the kids and headed to Pretend City in Irvine.  Michelle heard about it through a friend, so we thought we would go check it out.  I know it says it all in the name, but I was really surprised…it’s this little city where the kids can do just about everything they would if they were grown.  The have props, outfits, etc. with someone is each room to clean up after the little monsters…constantly!!  So Jace loooves…cars, trucks, grocery store, mailbox, bank (monies), fire station, gas station…all things he calls out when we drive by.  If this place only had rhinos and dirtbikes in the sand area Jace would never leave!  Here are some of the pics I got that day…

“Jace, go rub Buddah’s belly for luck” Did I mention his FAVORITE was the kitchen!?  Look at my little chef Some daddys’ might freak out…but he loves to help in the kitchen.  Hope he keeps that up!

I usually don’t post a “sneak” of just a couple of pictures, but the whole point of taking pictures this evening is because today Jace turned 2 and 1/2 years old.  Of course I’ll be doing a session at 3 years, but for some reason I felt the need to do one and this age too.  Here are a couple for tonight, much, much more to come tomorrow…

Here are the rest.  I can’t wait til his 3 year session, since he is my favorite subject!  I love taking him out and letting him be a boy.  I let him do his own thing with a bit of direction and I swear his listens so good he could be a model.  I’m so happy with the photos I was able to get of him.  These are just my absolute top favs.  Seems that way, grab him, dress him and run out.  If I would of planned for weeks something would of gone wrong for sure

I love that the nights are cooling down sooner and summer is coming to an end.  I’m ready to be able to take Jace to the park anytime of the day cause it’s not so hot!!

Last night we went to feel the “annulls” (animals) by our house and then to the park.  I really need to shoot this little guy more.  He is growing so fast.  I don’t know why it is so hard for me to get good photos of him sometimes….maybe cause every time I get the camera out all I hear is cheese and see his cheesy smile.

I’m getting ready for the next 3 weekends of weddings.  Two of which I’ll be second shooting for Yvonne.  Here are a couple of pictures she got of me “doing my thang” at Angie+Keith’s wedding a few weeks ago that I found while finishing/backing up my photos.  I sometimes wonder what I look like

Anyhow, we have lots of fun at weddings together, so I’m looking forward to the next 3 weeks.  I’ll do a post at the end of the wedding season to show you some more “behind the scenes”

Thomas the train is Jace’s new thing.  He loves the choo-choos.  I got him a remote control Percy this week and once we put batteries in it yesterday it was over.  The remote makes a whistle noise and plays the song.  Here he is last night getting every minute out of it before bath time…

(BTW, I had to bump up the ISO on my camera to 1000 to get these shots, I love my camera!!)

This past week I spent some time driving around looking at locations for photos with Jace.  Yesterday he giggled as I took pictures of random spots and wanted some pictures of himself.  He got really upset when we left our last spot…he kept saying “pictures down there” he wanted us to hike down a dirt hill to some brush…we had done it a few days prior so I couldn’t blame him.  He eventually got over it.  Even though he is two and he knows it now, I am so glad to be at home with him, especially when he gets to enjoyment out of what I do.  He’s been itching to get his hands on my big camera…but I have him stick to his!
