ah Zoey… I love this little girl. She is our friend’s daughter and I love to start a session with a big hello and an even bigger hug. She wasn’t apprehensive about the bunnies at all and jumped right in!

love is bliss
Last week I had so much fun photographing preschool students for their fall photos. About 70 students in 2 days along with class and teacher photos. Another reason to be crafty and stick some fall leave on a brand I stole out of the yard. Here are a few of the cuties from our shoot…
“put your hands on your hips”…I thought this was too cute…gotta love little ones…
My biggest compliment and accomplishment of the first day was getting this guy in front of the camera and even smiling by the end of our time together. Mom said he has never interacted in photos before and while he wasn’t crying he was just quietly expressing he was not having it, but luckily I have a little boy of my own and I was so proud of him for doing so well and taking pictures with his little sister![]()

Amazing! Wish my sons preschool pics were that cute. I never buy them because they are so boring!!!! Great job!

You know you are behind photos when your 4 year old is bugging you for a session! Luckily I pretty much always have an outfit on hand that has just been waiting for a session before he wears it anywhere else. I’ve been needing to do a session for a while, but it’s been hot and I’m sure you have a hard time getting your handyman husband to do any fixing around the house. Same with me, hard for me to get in my own photos. So we threw on some clothes and hit the road for a few random spots. I plan on doing a couple of more sessions when I am ready to plan a drive a bit farther![]()
Jace is 4 now…. he has a deep somewhat raspy voice, he loves Nick Toons now, watched Diary of a Wimpy Kid 4 times last weekend, loved the Rio moved we just watched, love to say “can we go cuddle in your room and watch cartoons momma”, loves his iPod and his little speakers I just got him to plug in, was singing Lil Wayne’s how to love in the car today and got called a Woody Wood Pecker with his crazy laugh at Costco when we were playing “copy cater”. Sometimes I wonder how I can love someone so much…then he’ll have a 4 year old moment which is good so I don’t eat him alive![]()

i love this one…it was so hard for me to get him to do a “normal” face without smiling or sucking in his lips…he looks so serious![]()
we went to check this out which turned out to be a water tower from the 40′s
put em up!!
when I got him dressed I was telling him how nice he looked…he said “I look like a Rock Star”![]()
he loves these old school balloons that Jarrett got him…
give me that face!!!
jace + momma![]()

Three years gone by so fast! Alannah just keeps getting more beautiful every year. I tried to let her do her thing as much as possible on this session, offering up some sticks if she wanted to draw in the sand and I found her some seashells…then she found some for me too![]()
I really need to get better at doing thank you notes…but the days just seem to fly by… so in case I find myself into next week and my best intentions didn’t quite make it…
Mandy, Josh & Alannah: Thank you so much for having me be your photographer for the past three years. It means so much to me to see her grow and to visit with you guys year after year. I appreciate you coming back to me and your trust in me (which was more apparent this last session than ever
). It means so much to me that each session she is just a bit more comfortable and how you tell her stories about her pics from birth! xoxo!!

i’m in love with these next 4 images…they would be ridiculously large in my home…
