Jake was in need of some updated pics of him and the kids….so we headed to the park to play for a while.  I haven’t seen these munchkins in a while and they have gotten so big!  Love it when I’m told “I leave it up to you” ;)

Oh how I’ve missed this little face!! Last time I saw Bella she wasn’t walking or talking and now she’s gonna be 3 soon!  What a perfect session too….awesome location, great lighting, beautiful family and hello…awesome props by me! ;)   Well wind blown props at that…it was so windy, we got what we could until little Bella got too cold.  I love the images we got in such a short amount of time….

It’s been a whole year since I’ve seen him and Miles is now one!!  I have a great time catching up with this family and I’m so glad to hear that they have been taking lots of snapshots over this past year.  I have snapshots and sessions of Jace, the one area I’m slacking in?….video, I must get more video.  I love photos, but they can’t capture the little voices.  Anyhow on to my favs of Miles and his family…

1/2 my heart is in Iraq | Murrieta Family Photographer

Meet Joanna and her family.  She contacted me while in Iraq wanting a family session when she comes home for her two week leave.  She also sent Edwina my way so I was able to do sessions for both these families during their time together.  She has been in Iraq for 7 months and this is her first time home since she has been deployed.  I had such a great time with this family, mom and dad are so fun to watch with their little girl.  So laid back and silly all at the same time.  She is such a silly little girl and I know she gets it from them. ;)

Joanna….thank you so much for contacting me all the way from Iraq.  It’s been a great experience meeting you and your family and Edwina and her family as well.  You guys have shown me how strong a woman can be to be away from their loved ones when needed.  Have a safe trip back tomorrow and I’ll look forward to hearing from you guys once I get your proofing galleries up!

Meet Edwina.  She is on a leave from a one year deployment in Iraq for two weeks and she wanted to do a family session including her sister and nephews.  He husband is also in service but he is close to home at this time.  To be so dedicated to serving your country to spend so much time away from your family is something I truly admire.  Luckily in her case her little ones aren’t so little anymore ;)

I had so much fun with all of them.  It’s great when you get to the part of the session when I tell them to “talk amongst yourselves for a bit” and you get instant genuine smiles.  And a big thanks to the boys for protecting me from some wild insects and dealing with the mad case of allergies I had that day!
